Sugar Bowl 2009, Arkansas recorded a safety against OSU where Herron wasn’t pushed back into the end zone, but then broke out of the tackle beforehand being tackled in the end zone. That was called a safety. Explain the difference now, please?

The difference is this ref ruled forward progress outside of the end zone, for better or worse.
