On Monday night the men's BB team opens up against Alcorn St. in Columbus.
Last year was a rebuilding year and so is this once since
Troy Jackson (20.0 ppg), Anthony Ford (10.6 ppg) and Jarvis Williams (9.7)? have all departed.
Last year Alcorn gave up an average of 83.5 points per game. good greif.

Alcorn State has little experience and little depth, this one should be a easy opener for the Buckeyes..........

Evan Turner led the Big Ten in scoring last season before considering the NBA draft, but he is back - along with nearly every other key part of an Ohio State team that felt it exited the NCAA tournament far too early.
Turner?s role this season, however, will be much different.
Coach Thad Matta moved Turner to point guard in the offseason, and the No. 16 Buckeyes? best player gets his first chance to shine at his new position Monday night against Alcorn State in the 2K Sports Classic.
Ohio State was 22-11 last season and Turner led the way with 17.3 points per game. Though it went 10-8 in the Big Ten to tie for fourth, Matta?s team advanced to the conference title game where it lost to Purdue.

Alright! the opener is tonight and I'm pumped and ready. Anyone have a pregame choice for tonight's star player? I'm torn between WB and Turner. If Deibs is hot too that muddles it up.
I got to go with Turner.

Ahhh, the official opener for Mens Basketball. This is my kind of night. :biggrin: My time of the year as well, November football, Buckeye Basketball, the pro Buckeyes doing there thing, i'm lovin' it. I unfortunately have another commitment tonight, but I know they're going to look good.

-The return of David freakin' Lighty, he's gonna own this year.
-'The Kid' Evan Turner is gonna own this year.
-Upper Sandusky's finest Diebs is gonna explode this year.
-William Buckets is gonna be a household name by the end of the season.

Go get em' Bucks
