Ohio State vs. #2 ttun, Sunday Feb. 8, 1pm EST, CBS

I think we have a athletic department who could really care less about any other sports as long as they can continue to just ride the football program. As long as it's not too awful and doesn't bring bad press they are ok with being lazy and cheap and with mediocre results.

Once again how many people are going to want to financially support THIS PRODUCT? These are the results you get when you just hand the job to the assistant of the former failed coach who was a big part in the continued driving of this program into mediocrity. You're gonna be hard pressed to rally up much enthusiasm in a program that's stuck in a extremely stale state.
Obviously not you, but OSU shouldn't be 12th in the B1G in NIL for men's basketball to start with. You seem to get some sort of enjoyment in repeating the same arguments. Nothing changes about the past, and you're obviously never going to get over it. But never giving the man a legit chance because of the circumstances of when he was hired is circular logic. I'm sure if Diebler had the UM job (and all the resources to buy the best transfers) instead of May, he'd be looking a lot better as a coach.

I want him to succeed but I just don't see it happening. I get the feeling we could legit in the future be heading into year 5 of Diebler without a single tournament appearance. That's how ok the athletic department seems with this as long as there is no bad press or as long as it's not like 10 win or less season bad. Would you be ok with that?

Back to this game…it doesn’t look like these guys practiced at all. Completely disjointed.

They’re running into each other on offense, can’t dribble and they can’t even get into sets.

Defense has no rotations, lazy swipes. They are lost. I’d almost expect to find a virus went through the lockerroom this week.

They’ve lost games but this is an embarrassing level of guys looking like they’ve never played together.

I think it's obviously a very poor coaching job. YES WE KNOW MICHIGAN IS MORE TALENTED. But that doesn't excuse the things you describe here that's all on the coaching.

They are definitely not looking good out there. I realize there was a short turnaround coming back from Maryland. They probably got back early Friday morning, and had to turn around and play Sunday. I've noticed over the last several years the program has tended to play better when they had a little more time to heal up & prepare, and obviously this isn't one of those times.

You see that in our slide down the Directors' Cup standings from being 2nd or 3rd almost every year to fighting to stay on the top 10.

Cracks me up that people make excuses for it too. I don't think the Diebler hire can really be excused, just call it what it is, the athletic department being ok with a lazy cheap hire of a "nice guy" who won't rock the boat or bring any controversies
