What happened with LAX? I've gone through LAX about a dozen times and have had no real issues (other than it's a real mother fucker to get in and out of, traffic-wise)...
International to Domestic connection in 2004.
First it was the longest Customs ive ever seen for US citizens. Then i got flagged for being military and more questions. But that was just the beginning.
Of course LAX is one of those places where you have to go all the way out and come back in when going through Customs.
The bus to transfer terminals broke and had to walk it w/ luggage (mind there was no food on patriot express... so nothing to eat for ~16hrs at this point). Followed by beggers the whole way. Why do they think an airport is a good place to find generosity? And how does security let them all stay?
Checking into Frontier, there's just 1 20something agent who gives no fucks. A whole line of people for same flight to Denver and she holds it up 20 minutes arguing about 4lbs of overweight luggage with one customer.
Then back through security that felt like 2 hours but was probably closer to 1. 10 of us get to the gate as theyre shutting the doors.
Everyone is livid. So they send up some 'manager', couldnt have been older than 25... wearing sunglasses inside... would fit in perfectly with all the worst Jersey Shore stereotypes (wrong coast, dont care).
So everyone gets bumped to a flight 6 hours later. At least i finally got shitty overpriced airport food...
Only in LAX can you have a 4hr layover, run through the process, and miss the connection
Get to Denver and they left my bags in LA.
Fuck Frontier and fuck LAX.
It'd be a godsend if an earthquake swallowed that and the Coliseum.
