Just saying, this is an exaggeration. OSU lost one game on the road, and had one other surprisingly tough game on the road, and that's it. They also won road games against ranked teams in TCU, PSU, MSU, and won the B1G CCG in Indy by 3 TDs.

I don't know that there's a strong statistical basis for your claim about eastern teams playing out west either. But if we're looking at trends... UW does not have a great track record in bowls this century, and OSU has won the Rose Bowl more recently. So, buttons.

Edit: I really needed to do that after getting nut-punched by Urban retiring. Kinda knew it was coming. Was bracing for it... but damn, if it still don't hurt like a bitch.

Now that this will be Urb's last game (not to mention Haskins), we are actually considering making the trip. I say actually because I can barely bring myself to pay for cheese on a Whopper (yes, I'm CHEAP!).

However, my husband and I have never actually been on a "real" vacation before (our honeymoon was waiting for movers to come get most of our stuff & then driving from Baltimore to Florida....granted we did have a nice stop over in Savannah). Granted, we do live in Florida so we can get a hotel and just call it a vacation. Anyway, I've always heard from my Mom this is the best bowl game. Really, an event. My dad passed away this year so I do have the money for a trip (But I don't know if I am ready to spend thousands of dollars). However, at this point, I can only imagine most people are thinking the same thing.

I'm sure many of you (or at least some), have been to the Rose bowl. I looked at the website and it looks like a pretty damn good time. It would be stupid to ask, should we go or would we have fun. However, I'd like to know if anyone else is planning on making the trip, if you paid out the nose and/or if you've been before can you tell me more about your personal experience?
