Ohio State Pro Day 2006

Hawk's 40 time today

I have also heard from two sources over on Bucknuts that AJ ran a 4.37. I'm still skeptical, but it's looking real. We'll see. Even still, I don't trust 40 times anymore. But on any track, hand timed or not, that is pretty freakin FAST for a 248 lb man.

AJ is the top linebacker no doubt but... that is a big difference from the combine. Do you think it really helps that much, if I was a GM I would just assume it was the track or something being so close together in dates. It wouldn't matter to me though, as he is the top LB out there regardless. I guess he is just battling Mario of NC State for the top defensive player spot.

More times

Bucknuts is now saying it was more like a 4.4. Whatever that's awesome. They are also saying Bobby Carpenter ran a 4.5, Santonio ran somehwere between a 4.3 and 4.28. Gonzales also ran today and he boasted a 4.35.

Those are great times. I hope Holmes time is correct, as I'm a bit suprised to see him outrun Gonzo.

Yeah me too. I guess though thats what makes SE's so special. Most defenses think that the only "burners" in the WR Corps come from the flanker position (ie. Gonzo and Ginn), but in truth its a matter of work ethic by the reciever. And Holmes was a tremendous reciever, im proud of him.

When will the results be posted?

Im assuming they will be in tommorrows Columbus Dispatch and maybe announced later after all scores for all events have been tallied.

I must say I am quite impressed by Teddy Ginn. He didnt work out today, citing that he didnt wanna take the attention off of the athletes performing for jobs. Thats very commendable, becuase millions of dollars are on the line and Im positive that if he had worked out, a lot of focus would have centered him intead of a player like Sims, or Salley. Way to go Ted!

On the flip side, I do think FGonzo running has actually HELPED the Buckeyes this year in our poll position. Seems like not a lot of reporters still knew much about Gonzo, but come this spring they will review his fantastic work out (so it seems), and give us credit for a good lookin reciever corps.
