If McSorley keeps that he is tackled in the backfield as well by 96 or 2.

The more I watch that play, the more I see we had every option covered. We won that play across the board. Their best chance was the handoff that was made, and we know how that turned out.

I honestly don't think it was a terrible call. The two time outs before it gave some kind of tell and OSU just dialed up the perfect defense.

Nothing McSorley was going to do there was going to get them 5 yards.

Just like their TD to the tight end, sometimes you just tip your cap to the opponent.

Only issue I have with that play call by Penn State is the two timeouts they blew calling it. They needed those timeouts if they didnt get it and instead we were able to take a knee.

Unreal that they wasted two timeouts to land on a run play on 4th and 5

Weird to say after 2 huge road wins so early in year, but I totally agree. Still, nice to hear it from a guy that has seen some good football teams.

Yep, Urban said they knew it was gonna be a inside zone read after the time out. They changed the defensive playcall but disguised the look to make them think izr would still break open. Penn State ate it up.

If Chase Young does not beat his man (or gets directed further upfield into another blocker), there's a 50% chance they pick up about 15-25 yards on that play.

Wint was flying away from the play to the top of the screen. Now maybe Okudah sets the edge and the rest of the front 7 cleans it up, but I think there was a definite lane there.

They also really threw off OSU's LBs right at the snap, who were racing sideways to get to their new position.

The timeouts also probably contributed to stopping it. They could have run a quick play and had a better shot, with how tired our D was. The timeouts killed momentum.
