Game Thread Ohio State @ Nebraska - 09/28/19, 7:30PM (ABC)

As a cord cutter, I spend Saturdays with one game on the tv, one on my iPad, and sometimes one on my phone, wishing that I could quickly switch between channels like I could with proper tv service.

Then I read shit like this. I’ll just buy another iPad or two...
I have no problems (so far) with Playstation Vue. They even have "ESPN College Extra" on like 8 channels. I was able to watch Ohio Dominican, for crying out loud.

No buffering
No pixilating

Good to go!

Hope Tyreke Smith’s prognosis has improved or is good; also hope Cooper has come along nicely. Same for Hamilton.

Was there anyone else seemingly banged up? I haven’t come across any tidbits
Letterman’s row reported that all DL will most likely go they heard other than Vincent.
I gotta tell you, I thought Ohio drivers were bad, but the wife and I just got back from MN and... what the HELL are they doing??

Duluth was cool, though.
just how we roll here lol.

Well, should disaster strike at least we know who’s at fault.
Damn right... I’ll ask for my bloody gift back if the outcome isn’t ideal.

You know what.....maybe I was a bit hasty here. The couple did have the decency to schedule for the bye week, so I could at least bother to show up to eat some free food, drink some free booze, and ogle some free bridesmaids.

I had PlayStation Vue, until earlier today

Seeing someone on this thread mention YouTube TV reminded me that my 16 year old son recommended that to me awhile back. I looked into it and made the switch today.

Everything I had with PlayStation Vue plus better DVR functionality and terms, less money.

I still don’t have a “back” button, but at least I can continue to watch a game while I choose the next game to switch to, and the iPad app shows me which games/(shows) are in commercial before I switch.

And if it turns out to have issues, I can go back to PS Vue, no harm done

Another Playstation Vue user here. I does have a back button at least on PS4 but it's 2 button presses not 1.

If you guys aren't watching the Big Noon Kickoff then you're missing out. Meyer is both funny and extremely knowledgeable and it gets the other guys on set going too. Now, if you care to see an old drunk guy stumble through his notes and put on a mascot uniform for entertainment, then you'll be disappointed.
When you are also a drunk guy sometimes you just want the mascot tho!

Has anyone checked on Neb forums? I got to checking around and the feeling varies from they stand no chance, to thinking they win because Ohio St sleep walks.

Personally my money (literally and I NEVER bet on Ohio St) is on Ohio St to cover and then some.

Welcome to The Planet

That’s the general consensus here. I’ve already posted my belief that Ohio State’s defensive tackles are going to treat Nebraska’s guards like turnstiles. Their tackles against Chase Young and co. is a tougher call; there’s no doubt the OSU DEs will make plays, but will it be as lopsided as the battle on the interior... that’s the question.

In 1986, Oklahoma had a mobile quarterback (Jamelle Holieway) and everyone seemed to think they were unstoppable. Then Miami’s defensive tackles exposed their guards. It was a miracle they managed 16 points. No one else held the Sooners to 16 points that year, no one else beat them, but the teams who had the tackles that could at least approximate what Miami had done... they were at least able to slow the Sooners down. That game marked the death of the wishbone, because the template for stopping it was laid out for all to see.

Nebraska’s offense isn’t the wishbone, but it is almost as vulnerable to tackle penetration. And the Buckeye tackles are going to spend the entire evening in that backfield. It will be a miracle if they score 16 points.

It won't be easy by any means. Frost has put a lot into this game and it will be a battle start to finish. If Nebraska has turnovers early it could get away from them. But I would not count on that happening.

Tom Allen put a lot into his crack at the Buckeyes; but plans go up in smoke pretty fast when the other team’s players are that much better..

Have you seen the Nebraska guards play? They will have zero chance against the Buckeye DL. How do you suppose Frost will keep it close with our tackles camped in his backfield?
