Another strong pro performance for this Buckeye alumni doubles squad.
Incoming freshman Filin has been stellar this summer in dubs play.
Would be premature to compare him to Robert Cash, but... winning at Kzoo is against some of the best juniors internationally.

JJ Wolf got a tough draw in the first against Edmund and he lost. Edmund has gotten as high as 14 in the world.
Anthrop won his first rounder, as did Trotter who also won his R16 so he's onto the QFs.
Bernard dropped his R16.

In the ITA all American tournament, Buckeyes are well represented…
Todays pre qualifying draw includes 3 Buckeyes trying to win 3 matches to advance to the qualifying draw on Monday.
Bryce Nakashima and Chris Li were able to get singles wins.

Trotter lost the "singles final match" of the Columbus Challenger to Naoki Nakagawa: 6-7, 7-5, 6-7. He lost the 1st (8-10) and 3rd (5-7) sets in a tiebreaker. I don't think that it could have been any closer than that.

Buckeyes schedule in qualifying round,
yesterday in pre-q round Nakashima had to retire because of injury and Li dropped a 3 setter.
Li however is listed as advancing into the qualifier round so I assume he must have received a lucky loser invite.
