Ohio State Men's Tennis (2014/2019/2024 ITA Indoor National Champs, 17 Straight B1G Titles)

The official site now lists the talent loaded 23-24 mens tennis roster;

I vacillate emotionally being pleasantly surprised at the return of 5th year seniors Kingsley, Cash, Boulais, lutshanig,
Deeply admire the selfless sacrifice it requires to divide 4 and 1/2 scholarships among 12 student athletes,
and confess i am strongly hopeful that this roster has returned to finish business of a 2023 national championship title.
go Bucks!

I realize this is a forum for Buckeye tennis but the most challenging competition for B1G titles recently just saw their head coach take the same position at univ of Florida. The ttun AD "raided" Nebraska for Coach Maymi, who in 2023 went 5-4, finished #52 in ITA ranking and missed the 64 team playoff. Ttun athletics reported his credentials ....

Also, just how good are the incoming Freshman (Bryce Nakashima, Brandon, Carpico, and Alex Fuchs) and can any of the 3 (seriously) compete for a "singles spot"?
Anthrop and Nakashima also reached their second doubles final this summer. The pair won the 15K in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., at the start of June and paired again to reach the finals at the 15K in Lakewood, Calif., this past week. In addition to the doubles win in Santa Fe, Anthrop also reached the quarterfinals of the singles draw and then reached the finals at the 15K in San Diego the following week. He has a current ATP singles ranking of 870.

Nakashima has had a great doubles run this season, reaching the finals of three events and the semifinals of another. He has won a pair of doubles titles and is currently ranked a career-high 768 in the ATP doubles rankings.

Just sayin': Incoming Freshman Bryce Nakashima and Redshirt Sophomore Jack Anthrop might be a very competitive doubles team.

From the ATP pro challenger event at Columbus, Senior Cannon Kingsley knocks off pro Christian Harrison in straight sets and will play today in the singles semifinal.

Also Buckeye graduate James Trotter teamed with 5th year senior Robert Cash to upset the #2 and #4 seeds and will play for the Columbus challenger doubles title today.

FWIW, it looks like Cannon Kingsley got beaten by (Canadian) Alexis Galarneau 4-6, 6-7

Galarneau has a career-high singles ranking by the ATP of world No. 162, achieved on July 24, 2023. He played college tennis at North Carolina State University.
