Awfully slowly indeed,
but now an update with #5 Smith taking the 2nd set, 6-1 to even his match.
This will be a huge point if Connor can close out Hovhannisyan.
VanEngelen in a hole down a break after dropping his first set at #3
McCarthy at #2 trying to close out his match in the 2nd tied at 3-3.
Diaz at #4 trying to take the 2nd set and even the match up 5-4 .
#6 Callahan wins the first set at 7-5!

#5 Smith at 2-2 in the 3rd set.
#6 Callahan down 1-4 after winning the first set.

At #4 singles Diaz up 6-5 against Sarkissian in the 3rd.
At #5 Connor Smith up 5-4, can't tell if on serve or up a break.
At #6 Callahan down 3-4, again can't discern who is serving.
Need at least one of these to capture the match.

Big victory over a very strong Pepperdine team, especially without Peter Kobelt in the single's and double's lineup.
Have to give a huge shout out to Devin McCarthy moving up and winning at the #2 spot, and also winning at #3 doubles with a huge comeback to seal the critical double's point.

It was good to get a win over a fairly highly ranked team away from home AND outdoors. The Bucks, fairly or not, have a reputation of being strong indoors than out; at least that is the sense I get reading the college forums on places such as The Sabre and Tennis Warehouse. After the loss at A&M outdoors, this was a needed win in my opinion - but maybe I am looking at that too deeply.
