AMEN. It was a great year. We got a bit screwed by the East Coast Mafia with that seed. We were a better team than a few of the ranked teams.

Wish it was a better game against Duke but they are clearly head and shoulders above any team playing. In fact, I will say that they are the best team I have ever watched. No shame here.

Congrats to the LAX team and coaches for a great season. Today we just came up on a team that was not going to go down to anyone.

Personally I hate all things Duke with the exception of their LAX team. When all hell broke loose a couple of years ago I felt so bad for them. Didn't know if there was any guilt, but I knew that the ENTIRE team was not guilty, and as a result a lot of kids and their fams suffered. Perhaps they were guilty of a couple of poor decisions, but not all that was in the papers. For that alone, if we had to go down... let it be to them and let them win it all. Those kids have been through hell and back. The way thier team stuck it out and stayed together through it all, if they win the tourney, so be it. Karma is on their side at this point.

We'll get ours in time. I just think that it's great that the Bucks are showing strong in LAX.

When I was on campus LAX was nothing more than a joke t-shirt: "Co-ed Naked Lacrosse. Always keep your stick up."

Oh, btw... the two little guys in my avitar have been playing since they were less than three years old. The older one has MAD skilz, and the little one hits frick'n hard... and they are both Bucks by birthright!

I was actually at this game yesterday. It was cold and rainy, and there was just a difference in the level of skills for the two squads.

I agree, but once again they get taken out by lacrosse kings Johns Hopkins in the NCAAs by one goal, 10-9.

The Devils had beaten the Jays 17-6 in the regular season. Go figure...

Duke played like shit. I am not sold on their coach. Coach Pet flat outcoached him.

Duke looke like they had a case of beers before the game. That was horrible to watch. Just horrible.

The Va v Cuse game was way better and Cuse should take out JH.

They should fire the Duke coach for loosing. Seriously.

Hopkins is coming back to Earth in the title game as Syracuse has outplayed them and built a 12-8 lead in the 4th quarter.

Amazing stat: Before today the NCAA has had 36 national lacrosse champions - Syracuse and Johns Hopkins have each won 9 of them.

Another crazy from the lacrosse world: only once has a team missed the tournament entirely then won it the next year...until this year. Syracuse only won 5 games last year before beating Hopkins in the title game this year.

The only other time? 1983...when Syracuse beat Hopkins in the title game, after missing the tourney in '82.

Heels choose lacrosse coach

Breschi reported headed to UNC

North Carolina has found its new lacrosse coach, according to a report on the Lacrosse Magazine Web site.Joe Breschi has resigned at Ohio State to take over at UNC, his alma mater. Breschi sent an e-mail to the Ohio State lacrosse family and friends informing them of his decision, according to the report.
In his e-mail, Breschi wrote, "I've accepted an opportunity to return to my alma mater to be the head lacrosse coach at the University of North Carolina."
Breschi played for North Carolina from 1987-90. He was a two-time All-ACC selection. He led Ohio State to an 11-6 record this season and a trip to the NCAA quarterfinals.
