Ohio State Men's Lacrosse (2013 ECAC Champions)

BOARD OF TRUSTEES TO VOTE ON $20 MILLION LACROSSE STADIUM

The Board of Trustees will vote on a $20 million outdoor lacrosse stadium to be completed in January 2022 on Thursday.

If approved, the stadium will be east of the Covelli Center on Irving Schottenstein Drive in the Athletics District, with seating for 2,500 occupants, according to the Finance Committee meeting agenda.

New athletics financial requests for 2020 comprise 6.3 percent of the Board’s total $319.9 million request budget, with the lacrosse stadium making up 99 percent of the cost.

The project budget includes $2.3 million allotted to professional services and $17.7 million for construction with contingency.

Uggg... I saw that. That's a pretty big ask for a non-revenue sport that shares a pretty nice facility that is frankly, pretty close to what they'd develop for lacrosse alone.

I imagine that this is all part of the arms race. The domers have a nice place that is purpose built... tsun just did the same.

Got ABUSED at the dot... and BU's FoGo is not that level. Gotta get that sorted out FAST.

Inacio is apparently dinged up. I’ve not seen when he’s expected to return but if it isn’t soon, this season is in the shitter before it gets started if we give up that many free possessions.

I think that I also saw that we lost GBs by double digits too? Don’t know how the hell you win games if you aren’t winning face offs and GBs.

I knew that this season could be completely hit or miss. Starting to prepare myself for it being a miss. Frankly, with how the season ended last year, there’s a part of me that is wondering what’s going on in the locker room. Nick doesn’t exactly have a reputation for being a players coach and I wonder if that’s starting to catch up.

Edit: GBs were 39-24 for BU. 13-4 in the second quarter for BU alone.

Edit 2: https://ohiostatebuckeyes.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/BU-OSU-Box-Score-2-8-20.pdf You show me this box score without the scores by period and 95/100 times that is a loss. Game was won by the goalie.
