Since you're making the suggestion - what "adjustment" would you recommend...?

That's easy.

You have a superior passer - use his skills to your advantage and get your athletes in space with the ball in their hands

OR

You have a much better runner, use his skills to run your offense as intended.

You can't fit triangular pegs in circular holes.
