WTH is an Illini? Dead goose?
The Lady Buckeyes have a HUGE opportunity tomorrow night when they play Duke at Durham in the B10 acc challenge.

A win over Duke would improve our whole image in the BB world. Duke is ranked N0 11 but they are such a respected school that I think it has to improve our chances in recruiting and attendance etc.

I think the Duke lady's program has lost some of their luster ever since their coach took the head coaching position at Texas. It will be interesting to see how their program does over the coming years.

With regard to tomorrow night's game, this is Huge for recruiting for the Buckeye womenIMO will we have to take care of the men's side of the business first before I can give this game much further thought.

Jasmine Thomas for Duke is a graduate of my son's high school (Oakton High School) which is also the high school of Chris Coyer who the Buckeyes recruited late for quarterback last year.

Jasmine will be the stiffest test at guard the Lady Buckeyes have seen this season by far. It will be interesting to see how they do against her speed and athleticism at the guard spot.

With all due respect to Thomas, Sammy as a year under her belt I get some pretty good guards she played against last season. Not that concerned about her athleticism because I think our guards will hold up. I am more concerned about our three-point shooting:) Jantel will get her points.

I could not agree more, and I think this game may well be decided by our outside shooters. The following are the 3 point production and averages for all of the last 8 games;

Sarah Schulze..................17-29.........58.6%
Brittany Johnson...............17-30.........56.7%
Tayler Hill..........................5-17.........29.4%
Maria Moeller......................6-14.........42.9%

Sammy for all shots(2's and 3's) is 43-98 and 5 of those makes are 3's.

So that's a total of 50 3's, with an overall shooting average of 43.9%.

As you say "Jantel will get her points."

The OSU-Duke game is at Duke, so the Big Ten Network doesn't have broadcasting rights, they only have rights for games hosted at conference venues.

Unfortunately, I'm in "show me" mode when it comes to the OSU women playing any elite out of conference team that has good athletes. The NCAAs had been consistently disappointing relative to Big Ten until they made "par" last year.
