And then they'd measure success by winning two games. And I'd bet against them doing that. Personally I'm against any team competing in a postseason playoff if they have no business claiming with a straight face that they're one of the best teams in the country and might actually contend for a championship. If you want to see this Buckeye team in the tourney then all you want us a participation trophy.

The same bullshit is going to eventually ruin college football.

To go back to this.

If they didnt blow that game against Nebraska and managed to beat FAU.....they'd probably be close to being in or in regardless of the Purdue outcome, considering how piss poor the bubble is this year. Their RPI right now is 62.....take away the god awful loss to FAU who is (285) and turn that loss to Nebraska (who's in the top 100) to a win and they go up a good bit.

Flip side: could've easily lost at Nebraska and Penn State, leaving us at 15-15 (5-12). Toss in a Rutgers loss - the game was tied at 62 with just over a minute left - and it's 14-16 (4-13).

I'd say 17-13 (7-10) is probably about right for this season's performance. :frown:

17-13 (7-10) is probably better then most expected after the FAU debacle and starting 0-4 in B1G play

I figured they'd probably lose out or come close to it after that Nebraska mess too, yet they are 1 away from closing the regular season on a 3 game win streak.

Flip side: we did beat Purdue but our record just does not indicate that there was a shot clock violation that gave them 2 free points so given the fact that we won that game our RPI is considerably higher than what it currently is.
