Ohio State 92, Memphis 76 (Final)

Wow David Lighty has arrived! We knew he could D anyone up but the way he's attacked the boards and gotten to the rim on offense, awesome!

Oh, and BTW we have the best player in college basketball on our team. I'm not talking about Greg Oden either. If you need me to spell it out he went to the same high school.

if memphis gets hot from the outside, it's likely because we're having difficulty maintaining their dribble drive penetration to kickouts to open shooters.
if the bucks can somehow limit the penetration and stick hunt, the second half should be broken open. the team's inability to stop penetration has allowed the tigers to set their feet. if you get your feet set, you don't have to be a great 3-point shooting team to make your shots.

You would think that Memphis won't be able to keep shooting 70% from behind the arch...
you'd like to think so. obviously, i wouldn't be surprised to see ohio state focus on the perimeter players who are setting up, which may open up the lanes for memphis. if the tigers don't rest on their 3-point shots, they may get all they need with shots within 12 feet.

Maybe Mr. Oden can help with that .

David Lighty has brought his game for the Tourney. He's playing his best ball of the season at the best time. What an athletic stud at both ends of the floor he's been for us.

Doing ALL the little things that make big things happen.

I wish D. Cook would listen to the lil guy on his shoulder that should be telling him "DONT TAKE THE 28FT JUMPER WITH A MAN IN YOUR FACE" but well he hasn't seen a shot he hasn't liked all season so why start now. And he hasn't a lick of defense in his blood either.

Terwilliger had some solid minutes in the first half as well, as did Hunter. Lewis is his usual self but hasn't really had many good looks from 3. Butler needs to get back on track and start knocking them down, he's missed a few wide open ones.

As for Conley...not much to say other than wowie woowie.
