the whistles seem to be going one way and on very questionable calls. Hopefully the refs aren't trying to make up for ejecting the thug.

I'm confident it will. With new guys in the rotation each game should equal improvement. Some things just won't come from practice.

If we can get a little more consistent offensively, that'll help the defense too.
