PJ Hill with 2 seconds of pt, EG to the line. good and good

Butler in for 2...Diebler fouls...just let it go bud :p

Bucks need to win the last three to get a chance at a tourney birth, IMO.

Doesn't winning the Big-10 tourney still mean an automatic berth?

You think if we win 2 out of the remaining 3 games and win 2 games in Big Ten tourney it will be enough to get in?

Possibly, but I've seen nothing the past couple weeks that makes me believe that will happen. They play tough, but just aren't able to put it all together. This is an NIT team. I'm just hoping Thad can keep his run of 20 win seasons going at this point.

Right now, all we can do is beat Minnesota on Saturday.

Don't look now but they're right on our tails for 5th place so they have their own slim hopes on the line.

Gotta get a road win. :osu:

First or last impressions :ohwell:

This game was a LOT closer than I expected it to be. I was worried earlier but only being down 9 at half made me come back. Honestly before the game and ESPECIALLY after the horrible start I was thinking 20-30 point loss.

KK took a step tonight. He took one of the Big Ten's best big men to task time and again. He was aggressive (I won't repeat what I actually said but you can guess what it was) and he showed what his game and this team has been missing all year long.

It's like the same script on defense. The zone works great for anything inside the 3 point line and with a few notable exceptions on box out issues inherent with most zones, tonight was no exception. But outside of a horrible shooting night from Eric Gordon, who missed at least 3 relatively open 3s, this game might not have been close. Not to be overly critical, but this has been a problem all year long and nothing has changed. That is about as confusing as the CBJ trades today. It's very obvious to me, at least, that teams are scheming specifically for the zone and go to the multiple passes for an open look at a 3 type play immediately when they are having issues down low.

Diebler is still searching for an identity. He had a couple open looks that he passed up due to tentativeness. Once he gets over that and fires away without thinking he'll be fine but its' obvious to me that he's thinking too much and not just going out and playing the game so to speak.

I think if Othello Hunter had another year to play in college he might have ended up sneaking into the first round of the NBA draft as a power forward. For someone who has only played the game for 5 years, the guy seems to only get better.

That's it for now. I have an early meeting so I'm going to bed :tongue2:

Good night and as always, Go Bucks

I know it just looks like another dissapointing loss but the kids put it on the line tonight. If they would have shown that much heart and effort the entire year they wouldn't be on the bubble right now with 11 losses. That effort alone would have gotten them 2-4 more wins this year. (sorry, I know most feel it has already busted). I think they can still get the last 3 (in Minny, and 2 home wins to end the season). I know it's a long shot, but win the last 3 and win one in the Big 10 tourney, or 2 of the last 3 and go deep into the Big 10 tourney. They are still missing the big win so if they don't get both the Purdue and MSU games, I couldn't justify putting them in if I were on the committee. Good luck against Minny boys, haven't given up on you yet.

beautifully said! its all "ifs" though. koufos needs to come back one more year, when we get bj next year with the sophomores, we will be VERY good next year. can you imagine koufos, mullens, turner, lighty, deibler as a starting 5? the thoughts....

Im proud of this team for the effort tonight. They were at a hostile arena against a talented team and despite a horrendous first half, were almost the ones with the W at the end. Theres still more than a shot at the dance, and would love to see KK do this every game.

Who is your point guard?

There is no way that will be the starting 5.....
