OHIO STATE--68 TENNESSEE--66 (Final)

Thanks for that. What could possibly be leading anyone to feel impatience. We have a very young team. We have lost three games. All were to top 3 ranked teams on their courts. Our entire team has played a handful of games together.

Let me tell you what I see. These youngsters got their arses kicked in Florida and they gave up. They started to get their arses kicked in Wisconsin and they fought back.

Mark my words. They are going to open a cannowhoopass on Tennessee. They are going to cut through the Big Ten and the rematch against Wisconsin is going to be a very different game with the outcome much in our favor.

Can they go all the way? Don't know, that's a lot to ask. Can they go deep in the NCAA? Yes. Can they send Tennessee back to the SEC talking about northern speed, you betcha.

On a February night in 2004, then-Ohio State basketball coach Jim O?Brien mentioned on his weekly radio call-in show what he was looking for with one of the two scholarships available for the following season. "I really think we have to find somebody who can really shoot it," O?Brien said.

The Tennessee Volunteers will look to bounce back from their first road loss of the season as they visit the fifth-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes Saturday afternoon.
When they travel to Columbus, Ohio, they will face not only the defending Big Ten champions, but also a freshman many consider the best big man in college basketball since Wake Forest?s Tim Duncan.

This game is perfect for Ohio State right now......we are at home against a quality opponent who likes to get up and down the court, exactly what Ohio State does well......Tennessee has no one on the roster that can match-up with Oden, expect Ohio State to pound the ball inside early and try to set the tempo.

My money is on a blow-out at home.......85-65.

I think we have an edge against a team that plays 4 guards. I never really cared for our chances for our teams, or any team for that matter, that employed that strategy.
With that in mind I look forward to a Buckeye victory saturday.

At one point this season, this matchup would have taken your breath away, just as the Ohio State men?s basketball team?s back-and-forth sprint with North Carolina did. Tennessee is like the Tar Heels in that respect. The Volunteers average about 90 possessions per game. They have scored at least 90 points in five of their past seven games. They average 85.6, sixth best in the nation.

Man, We just need to win one of these games to get us started. To let us know how to beat the top teams. This should be a very big game for Oden and Hunter and Twigs.
Go inside all day long and its ours, and the experience in a game is invaluable
