Good start to the conference sched. Hopefully, these close games will pay off down the road, or at least get them to work on covering the perimeter and making free throws. Good to see Diebs have a breakout game. I like what Buford brings to the fast break offense, if he sees a chance to get ahead of the D, he gets to the basket fast. Late last season, I thought PJ showed a lot of potential, just needed to play more under control. Glad to see him get another chance. Sometimes when a player loses his spot and regains it, they respond very well. PJ definitely brings the effort.

I'd like to point out that the announcer called it wrong (and repeated several times) that Buford blew a Defensive assignment that resulted in a layup. The Iowa player cut from up top, and Diebs should have followed him a bit.

Not a knock on Diebs, he had a great game. But I saw the same thing happen quite a few times with different players. We could have cut down on the easy opportunities by following the cutter for a step and putting a hand in the passing lane to discourage the pass. We were watching the ball a bit too much.

Overall great win. I liked the intensity PJ brought. We didn't bring IT coming out of half, but we regained our intensity and came out with a good win. Congrats bucks.
