Ohio State 62, Florida 49 (Final)

Seriously...what was the big problem with the CBS scoreboard tonight?

Every once in a while (at least three times) after OSU scored they gave the points initially to Florida. They always corrected it though but it was irritating as hell. I would leave the room and come back to see we were only up by nine when it should have been fifteen.....

-Best rebounding effort all season and it came against a team with living breathing bigs no less, so it can be done again.

-A complete 40 minutes of intensity and effort

-any win over UF is nice

-2 very young but talented teams, 2 different schools of thought about how to schedule for that.

Very good effort guys! Some solid improvement shone. This game brings more hope of a solid season and possible NCAA tournament bid.
I love watching Deibler play. He brings a passion to his game every time out. Solid effort from Lighty and Koufos and Butler. And Twigs helped.
Keep working guys.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Ohio State is no longer Gator bait.
It's a long way from making up for all the grief that Florida has dished out to Ohio State over the last year, but the Buckeyes got a tiny measure of revenge Saturday with a 62-49 victory over the Gators.
It was a rematch of the schools in last year's national championship games in basketball and football. The Gators won those matchups handily. Kosta Koufos led the Buckeyes (8-3) with 17 points, while Jamar Butler, the only remaining starter from either team from last April's basketball title game, added 13. David Lighty had 11 for Ohio State, which won its fourth straight game and seems to be gaining much-needed confidence as it draws closer to its Big Ten opener on Jan. 3 at Illinois.

That is was an ass-kicking is what pleases me most. Well done young Buckeyes. That was some great payback. No, it wasn't payback against last year's team, but it was enough to end this "we own your butts" stuff. It will help our guys as they enter the Big Ten.

Great win by the Bucks today. Much more physical and loved the intensity. Butler could sure some help handling the ball though. The dude played all 40 minutes and is the only guy I trust with the rock at the end. We definately need Jamar's 3s and if if this trend continues, his legs will be toast by the end of the year. Problem is, we really have no one else. Maybe Lighty, but that's about it. These young guys have to step up and help Butler out.

i enjoyed that win. Great learning experience by the kids. Any win, over an SEC team is a wonderful thing. ACC too, for that matter.. For me, it spoke to who can rebuild better, i'm happy with the answer....:oh:
