I think we're going to have to take some shots down the field on early downs soon. Even if they're incomplete it'll give PSU a reason to think twice before putting 8 in the box. Right now, there are just too many guys to block on a run.

short passes should be open. I really liked the first call of the game (screen pass to Mo Wells) Short passes --> make the dback susceptible to double moves. Run the ball ---> get PSU to commit more players in the box. Set up some opportunities for plays down the field. Tress knows what he is doing, trust the vest.
