blah - blah - blah - blah -
The release specifically states that the players status as far as playing in games once the season begins has NOT changed. Phil Taylor has been barred from living on campus, with be suspended for both summer semesters and has to attend anger management classes while being placed on probation within the University; if he gets in any trouble again he is gone.
What's your point pookie?
Oh8ch explicitly linked in the article clarifying the situation - all your post does is reinforce the clouds hanging over once Happy Valley.

Snip - meaningless and ill-informed pot shots
Oh, yeah, your point is to come on a Buckeye board to take shots at the "home" team. Get back on Stadium clean-up pookie.

Those five players are back with the team...so what? They all missed the last 2 games of the 2007 season at least, and also did not travel with the team for the Alamo Bowl. So they OBVIOUSLY didn't get to take advantage of weeks worth of practices and are not exactly Joe's favorites at this moment in time. Chris Baker, Phil Taylor [felony charges dropped] & Navarro Bowman still have trials scheduled in which they plead not guilty and Andrew Quarless still has his DUI charge. All 5 players also missed all of spring practice and were not allowed to participate in the B/W game. What was Tressel's punishment for those players with chronic problems again? Condition yourselves by running while the team practices, that way you'll be in better shape for when the football season begins...how harsh! :) :tongue2: :oh::io:

How many drug tests does Eugene Clifford have to fail in order to reach the Pot of POT at the end of the rainbow? Spark a blunt and ponder that for a little while...:wink2:
smoking weed.....beating the shit out of fellow students.

yeah...those are equal.

I would like to remind anyone who has forgotten that TRESSEL took away all of last season from the quarterback many thought should have been the starter and some still think can steal it because he was brought up on charges for soliciting a prostitute. He was not permitted to play until after the trial which didnt take place until the michigan game even though he too was pleading innocent and many believe he was wrongfully arrested in the first place. You just said your guys have trials pending, regardless of how they are pleading that didn't get our would be star QB off the hook, so please dont talk down to us about lax discipline.

We seem to have one problem child.. not 50. Not to mention smoking herb and beating up students or drinking and driving are not even close to being comparable.

Wow. A State Penn fan trying to make fun of another program for legal trouble involving its players. If that's not irony, I don't know what is.

In the last 2 1/2 or 3 years, we've had three legal situations involving players on the team affecting four players, which averages out to about one a year (which includes this inconclusive situation involving Clifford & Washington). How many legal problems has your team had in the last year involving how many players, Pookie?

I already know the answer. I just want to hear it from you.

p.s.- Can we get a GPA for Soldier?

I don't think anyone thought Henton should start.

Maybe not on here - but there were several teasing articles on other sites indicating Henton heavily in the mix through Spring ball till fall.

I like the comparison of discipline Soldier was trying to draw up - but that's probably an entirely different discussion.

So he can't live on campus, but can still play football? Um, okay.

Please tell me our players that are "chronics", or better yet show us something that has happened here in the past couple years that is remotely comparable to the "Grand Theft Auto" shenanigans going on in Happy Valley. I mean seriously, do you realize how absolutely ridiculous you look?

You're a fucking idiot. A goddamn State Penn fan coming here and criticizing our discipline. Some trolls are somewhat entertaining, you're just a hopeless moron. I guess when your team has spent 95% of the last decade toiling in irrelevence you need to find ways to entertain yourselves. Could somebody please ban this tool or at least post his info in the OD forum so we can all have a little fun.

I found this link to a ranking of Big Ten home stadiums on Buckeye Commentary made by a Penn State fan site. It's actually a relatively interesting read if you have the time. And to there credit, they did rank The Shoe number one. However, this little part of their analysis made me laugh:

TRADITION/HISTORY:
_____________First season National Titles Heismans All-Americans Post-season record All time record (%)
Michigan (11) ____1879 ________11________ 3 _______76 ___________19-20 _______869-286-36 (.745)
Penn State (10) __1887 _________2 _________1 ______107 __________27-11-2 ______790-346-42 (.688)
Ohio State (9) ___1890 _________7 _________7 ______173 __________18-21 ________798-303-53 (.714)
Five more national titles, six more Heisman trophies, sixty-six more All-Americans, more wins, less losses, and a significantly better winning percentage, and yet Ohio State is ranked below Penn State for tradition based on... bowl records!? Holy biased batman! Its understandable that they would be a little biased towards themselves (and they are in pretty much every ranking) but that one is just ridiculous, especially when they actually post that chart and still rank it that way.

Fearless predictions: Big Ten rivalry games

Penn State at Ohio State, Oct. 25 -- The more I research Penn State, the more I think the Lions will have a solid season, making the decision about Joe Paterno's future even more difficult. The problem here is the game's location. Penn State hasn't scored more than 10 points in any of its last seven trips to Ohio Stadium. I don't see this year's Buckeyes defense budging much, especially with a new quarterback leading the Lions. Prediction: Ohio State 21, Penn State 10
