1st: end around. whacked in the backfield. Denlinger with the stop for a big loss.

2nd: another TFL. Larry Grant blew that one up. note to NU coach: STOP TRYING TO GET TO THE EDGE.

3rd and 16: shovel out to the 19. Spitler with the stop. 3 and out.

NIU moved the ball across the 50 on one of their 1st quarter possessions but turned the ball over... their punter was also able to get the ball across the 50. Other than that, ya.

The other difference: Last year's offense was suppose to be our strength and that was expected, even out of the gates. This year it appears they are starting to hit their stride, starting last week in the second half.
