We gave them some Mickey Mouse doctoral programs to manage, but apparently that's not good enough. Now, they actually expect their athletic department to publicize the game by talking about their own coach. That's going a little too far.

I also was annoyed at all the emails and reports on MURedHawks that we were supposed to be so excited to get tickets to see ANOTHER team's coach's debut at coaching. Really? No mention of Coach Treadwell, but Urban Meyer's name has been plastered all over the place by our own athletic department. Ridiculous. Aren't we supposed to be spending our money marketing our own team and not Ohio State's and their coach? I am not fond of Ohio State and I thought the point was to quit living under their shadow and yet I am supposed to buy season tickets along with my regular donation just for the honor to see Urban Meyer's debut? What? Annoying and concerning. Lets promote a chance to see Coach Treadwell's 2012 season and second season's debut.

The funniest part is that Treadwell's biggest claim to fame is being a branch of Jim Tressel's coaching tree. Even if they did promote him, most of that promotion would center on his time coaching with Tressel and Dantonio.

I am sure they would find that "annoying" as well- although maybe they find being in Michigan State's shadow slightly less objectionable. :lol:
