Ohio State 50, Wisconsin 55 (Final)

as an FYI to those trying to figure out how our zone works....

We run a fairly classic zone out top, where our perimter players match up on guard on top.

The bottom of our zone is interesting in the fact that we almost play a man look. They will switch on switches across the court.....but most of the time you'll see flat out man on players beneath the foul line.

Who guards that player depend son what section of the court they are in...but it is an interesting match-up zone look. Essentially a 2-3 zone out top, with a match-up zone underneath, and the outside players underneath have perimter responsibilities when the opposing team works the ball to the corner.

The difficult prpblem for our zone is when teams overload a side, and we have to mobe players out of tehir normal positions. IT also makes rebounding very difficult. Players are responsoble for offensive players in their zone, but its difficult to find guys in an area vs. playing man-to-man and bodying up as soon as a shot leaves someones finger-tips.
