diebler easily having his best game......doing a great job penetrating when they step out and making good decesions, with exception to his last shot of the first half where he should have recognized the clock
Evan Turner is playing great....reminds me of Lighty in a lot of ways
Enjoy Koufos now because every broadcaster in the nation will be pimpin him rather shortly and during every game
Hunter plays so smart and under control, what a find he was
Butler controls the game very well too....I think I can notice the weight he lost, a little quicker and seems to have great stamina, even at this early point of the year
Terwilliger is still Terwilliger I guess....you know what you are going to get, he'll give you his all but some decesions defensively as well as offensively make you wonder if he's ever played ball before.....dude should know not to leave your feet on perimeter shooters at this point in his career...I thought Matta was going to walk out on the court and choke him at one point
Really pleased with the effort in the first half, showed toughness by coming back the way they did
Let's see how they respond to the Syracuse run that will happen at the 15:00 - 10:00 mark
Basically same thoughgts as last night with a few exceptions:
Lighty needs to slow down, seems to be playing a little quicker than normal and not executing like he normally would
Terwilliger is goinbg to give Matta a heart attack. There needs to be a "no leave your feet" rule for this guy. Continually gets beat in the corner giving up penetration and bites easily on shot fakes. For the love of God, please stay in front of your man, and not leave ypur feet.
Butler is playing beyond my exepctations. His defense has been fantastic tonight. Maybe a little too aggressive on his "heat checks" but I guess he was feeling it. I think he converts most of those running jumpers later in the season. Plus, again as I pointed out yesterday, I think the weight loss has been critical in his development. They even mentioned it tonight.
Diebler has looked solid. Not turning it over and playing decent defense. Hopefully he gets some open looks int he seond half.
Evan Turner plays like a junior/senior. Just great poise and great decesions. Reminds me of Lighty.
Othello doesn't have his shot tonight but will make a stronger presence in the second half.
Koufos needs to stay out of foul trouble.
All in all, not bad for the way the game started. Wish Matta would of trusted Kosta or Othello not to pick up theirt 3rd b/c A&M kicked our asses without them in the game.
We'll make it close in the 2nd half.
