Do you get the U?

I stuck my tongue in cheek Tuesday when I mentioned in the weekly OSU Insider that Saturday night?s game at Butler would be on ESPNU and casually asked, ?Does anyone out there with cable actually get ESPNU??
A few readers subsequently stuck forks in another of my cheeks.
I should have written ?basic or expanded-basic cable,? since I presumed (never a smart tack in journalism) that most cable subscribers, like me, have that level of service and ESPNU isn?t on it.

Blame Mike Conley Jr., for Ohio State playing at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Saturday against Butler. Ohio State assistant John Groce said the game was made so that Conley could get a home game in Indianapolis. Conley is off in the NBA with the Memphis Grizzlies after one season in Columbus. Ohio State coach Thad Matta played and coached at Butler, so there is a natural tie to the Bulldogs. Still, this will be a bear of a game for Ohio State. OSU is playing a true four-year home-and-home series with Butler, which should be commended. Gonzaga coach Mark Few, who didn't play Butler in the Great Alaska Shootout but did watch them up close, said he questions if any team in the top five is playing as well as Butler is right now.

I am really excited to see how we respond against a team that is not as physical, but plays a completely different style of play and will shoot lights out if we don't get out on shooters...Hopefully our length can give them problems and force them to shoot over top of us...

Hopefully have a write up at some point...

I see a 10+ point win for Ohio State. We are much better physically than Butler, and Kosta can return to dominating much smaller and weaker bigs.

I get ESPNU, but I know how you guys feel that don't...It is great that they are getting all these extra channels and in a couple years it will all be a moot point, but it just sucks at the time being we are having to miss games that over the past how many years we have been able to see all these games...

Now back to the topic...Butler is a mid major, but they could easily be mentioned in the top 10 teams in the country...

jesus.....you guys could learn a thing or 2 from boeheim. why not schedule duke, kansas, and the celtics while you're at it?

Honestly I love it...It exposes things we need to work on...The best thing IMO is that alot of this isn't just going to help this year but on into the future for these guys...The more big games the better IMO...Most of the team is young and will be here for a couple more years or so...
