Game Thread Ohio State 45, Northwestern 10 (Nov. 8)

I don't think this team could have come out more flat than they have......

Juice Williams is going to have a field day on this defense if the d-line can't get off of blocks and the LBs are playing 5-8 yards off of the ball. and that's if they ever stop Mike Kafka THIS week :shake:

They don't call it like that at all in the NFL. You pretty much can't hit a guy who is near the sideline and might cut back inside anymore in college, because if he takes one step the other way when you hit him it's a flag and fifteen yards.

did you see the fine Justin Tuck got last week?

Or Jared Allen getting fined for 2 hits below the knee of Matt Schaub?

Football has become overly protective...on saftery issues the Head of the Rules committee released a statement on Thursday, "when in doubt, he wants his officials to throw a flag". What the hell kind of logic is that?

At least if you're gonna get flagged that much get your money's worth out of it. I think that was the least physical performance I've ever seen by a team that drew two personal fouls on one drive.

I wouldn't mind seeing somebody in purple get decleated about three seconds after the whistle. At least that would show some fire.

Same...That's what I was thinking. Two penalities on one play at least make it count.

13 plays, 67 yards, and only one pass thrown. Can't wait for Illinois.

Yea, I got tickets to that game too. Kind of unsure what to expect. I went in '06 when we won like 17-10 or something close and they were all chanting "overrated", then my friend and I started a "only 2 wins" chant. Needless to say the ones around us shut up

I'll admit that I did not see those. I did see plenty of plays last week where players were hit or tackled when they were 3-5 yards out of bounds.
