So, is the official line for the game actually 3 points?

The site I usually go to isn't working...not that it really matters, I'm just interested:)

Personally, I think we should have a breakout game for TP. Stats wise, that is...Its shaping up to be quite the day, with everyone talking about Javon running wild. I really think we can break out offensively, Beanie may be closer to 100% for the first time since opening weekend, and the line will have some relief if he's running strong. Then let TP air it out a few times and see what happens:)

I say, if TP completes 60% of his passes and Beanie breaks 150 yards we win by at least 17. Hoyer makes a lot of mistakes, so I'm counting on a pick six at some point:)

That's not how it works. The OL enables the RB to succeed, not the other way around. If the OL plays the way it's capable of playing, then Beanie will have a great game...if it plays like it did against Purdue, then it won't matter much if we had Jim Brown or Archie himself in the backfield.

Those are rare. You ought not count on them.

But I wouldn't be surprised in the least to see that happen. I think Ohio State will win, again, because the number of mistakes they make will be fewer than the number of mistakes that Michigan State makes.

And if Beanie is running well, that would mean the OL is doing its job in the first place...and if the OL is doing its job, the DL won't be pinning their ears back to bullrush Pryor.

Archie is like, 50? and Jim Brown is at least 60.

Brown would probably average 5 yards a carry, though!

Just did a simulation on NCAA 09. It was pretty close. OSU14-MSU10.

OSU Offense
Pryor was 15 of 19 with 155 yards, 0 td's and 1 int. He ran 9 times for a total of 44 yards.
Beanie 21 attempts at 107 yards with a 3 yard TD.
Small 3 catches for 54 yards

OSU Defense
Freeman had 9 tackles 3 for loss and 1 sack
Donald Washington had 4 tackles 1 for loss and 1 int return for a TD.
Coleman 4 tackles and an int with 34 seconds to go when MSU was on OSU's 28 yard line.

MSU Offense
Hoyer was 18 for 27 with 157 yard, 0 TD's and 2 INT's
Ringer 21 attempts for 61 yards and 1 TD

The computers put their SOS about the same as ours, but a bit weaker. They have good wins over Northwestern and California.

The Spartans are a good team but we match up very well with them.

One just wonders, is this the game that Ringer pops? Is it the game that a healthy Beanie has a breakout game?

I am not convinced that a pep talk has turned our line into juggernauts.
