Game Thread Ohio State 3, Southern Cal 35 (Sept. 13)

When is JT gonna learn that Boeckman has no answer for tonight? Just put in Pryor for the rest of this mess.

Guys, stop this game thread whining. We are without the leader on our offense. The last bloody thing you do is to take your QB of the future and throw him in for abuse.

We will not be able to win this game. Get over it. Right now, Coach Tressel is going to do what is right for Ohio State in the longer term.

Last warning on the whining.

Yeah bad part is we still got 10 minutes and no way is USC going to let up. They are going to punish us....and to be quite honest (no bashing intended) but we deserve it.....

No excuse for this.......If we lost and it was close I wouldn't be that disappointed...but today well you know.....

Guys, Ohio State is better than this, we know that. Teams will have their off days, Pac-10 refs will help Pac-10 teams, and we know that. The Buckeyes will be back next week, despite the fact that apparently the sky is falling according to some posters. We have our chance against them next year, and we have plenty of talent for the rest of the season and for the future. This game doesn't portray the Buckeyes that we all know.

I know that I'll wake up tomorrow morning asking myself, "is it Saturday yet?". Because that's just how it is being a BUCKEYE.

Up 32 points in the 4th and you go for it on 4th and 3? That's the biggest slap in the face I've ever seen. It would have served them right if Sanchez knee got blown out Weis and Brady style

I myself have not seen a worse QB in a Buckeye game in a long time.

This shows me that maybe Ohio State has been TOO successful recently. People aren't remembering back to the 1999/2000/2001 timeframe.

Seriously. Get a friggin grip.

See you in 14 days I guess. Although if this is what you're going to bring to the table during the tough times, you might as well not..

Ya can't blame the refs. And we did have out off week...last week against Ohio. Last week I heard wait till next week. Im tired of next week. After Florida it was wait till next year...After LSU is was wait till USC....Now its wait till Michigan. Hell as bad as we are doing i'm not so sure.

Like the other guy said if this is bashing then see you in 14 days....Maybe the team needs 14 days......

this game is gonna change most people's perception of Ohio State
and the Big 10.

Ever since OSU lost to Florida and LSU and Michigan lost to USC, Appy State, and Oregon, the Big Ten has been unfairly dissed by some of the less intelligent American joes that casually follow football. This loss to USC doesn't change that perception.

At the same time, this loss to USC doesn't change the perception of serious college football fans, that know damn well that Ohio State is awesome and the Big Ten is the 2nd best conference in college football behind the SEC (although the Big 12 is currently looking better than the Big Ten, I think that is just a temporary glitch).

Yes, it is a shame for the Buckeyes not to be on top of the world, but you guys are still a top 4-8 overall program in the big picture... and easily the greatest program in the north -- just be glad you guys didn't turn out like Michigan or Notre Dame or Penn State or Florida State or Miami, etc

I wish I could say something positive. I really do, but there's nothing right now. I never thought this game would be this bad. And teh worst thing is taht I'm not sure what OSU can do about it. This D should be much much better than this and it is not. Not sure what to say.

Like others have said, thankfully this isn't somethign that is actually a horrible thing and will end my life. It is unfortunate. Nothing I can do about it and that's that.
