Not speaking of Cooper is taking something away from the History of the program. We fucked up, we got rid of a good coach and substituted him with a bad one who would go 2-10-1 against tsun, and go 3-8 in bowl games, guess what, he's gone, he's history, but he's part of our programs history.

Totally agree if you forget him, forget his whole era. Try and forget guys like Orlando Pace, Eddie George, and........Bobby Hoying. :wink2: Fuck the Rose Bowl win, one of OSU's most exciting. He may not of added NC's and scUM wins but alot of good things happened while he was at the helm.

Anyways something tells me Laurinitis wil be wearing a tan and a smile on September 14.

Well since I will be going to the game, and hanging out with a certain Raiders fan before the game, I hope your right!

Living in Orange County, I am in the middle of fairweather fan hell,

The worst thing about that type of fan, if USC wins, they'll be jumping around like monkeys talking shit about a game they barely understood; if OSU wins, they can just shrug it off, because they aren't fans after the first loss of the season. I know a few scUM "fans" like that, couldn't tell you who they're playing against except for one game a year. If the jokers in your office are gonna give you a 21 point spread, take 'em for all they got! They ain't playin Illinois this time!

There's a sign on my door that says "your giving me 21 points? Put your amount here and sign your name"

The thing for me is, Ohio State has a great record (5-6) against USC, it's not like it's Michigan where they have a huge problem. I know what our problem is, it's the SEC in Bowl Games, I expect us to show up and fight, I expect a low scoring close game between two great coaches.

People here seem to expect "USC will show how overrated your coach is" not that we've won as many BCS titles as them, and are regular season records are very close since 2001.

So, I take it for what it's worth, I am an Ohioan living in Southern California, where it's ok to like "USC FOR FOOTBALL AND UCLA FOR BASKETBALL."

Such an amusing day today, for some reason my co-workers decided to start with me. Living in Orange County, I am in the middle of fairweather fan hell, so after getting people to give me 3 touchdowns against USC, it was amusing, because not a single one of them could name the last USC coach... This whole conversation was funny as hell because my boss, a tsun alumni, watched, and when they replied "yeah, well can you name the last Ohio State coach?" I proceeded to name off the last 5, and asked if they wanted me to continue, he busted up laughing and walked away, telling them they were in over their heads.

Now, I understand not "wanting" to support your team when they suck, but if you don't know who your teams coach was prior to 2001, don't talk shit, especially when I can tell you who your previous head coach was, and what the record of Hackett was.

I know there's die hard fans for USC out there, people who can tell me the history of the program down to the original song girls, but it irritates me that since Pete Carroll, a coach I have great respect for, everyone is suddenly a USC fan thier whole life.

Ok, my rant is done, proceed with your pissing contest.

Do people in Orange County get pissed if you call it the OC?

Like I said, they're not playing Illinois, or Michigan, or Iowa in their birthright bowl game against the Big Ten #2. Let them think that beating those teams with the best trojan squads since Munoz and White means something this year.
Not saying it's a lock.

:paranoid: I would never do that.

:paranoid: But if these jokers are seriously going to give you 21 points, bet your fucking house.

I would.

I think it'll be close with us on top, 31-27 as stated before. Our running game will dominate the 3rd n short.
