I'm not to worried about Mcknight; he's got great speed, but our defense does a fine job taking away the outside runs.

Its the inside stuff I'm worried about; but I don't think we'll be seeing that from him.

Now Stafon Johnson on the other hand....
Also Allen Bradford 6' 225, and Broderick Green 6'2" 235 And Stanley Havili at fb will run inside also.:)

It's not purely a power running game that I'm worried about. We do fine in those situations. It's play-action that gets us. So, depending on how well Sanchez can execute that, then I'd be worried about USC's run game.

Of course, I'm hoping (praying) we fix all these nagging problems that have creeped up on our defense the past two years in the 3rd game of the season and just dominate.

Unless you mean that he actually stepped out of bounds on that play and the refs missed it, that play is EXACTLY what I'm tlaking about. The defender overran and let him cut back, rather than stay on his inside hip and force him OOB.

I've seen an angle that suggests he stepped out of bounds.

I just hope all the new starters have started to jell by that time. :)

I know that I watched that game tape that had better quality than this one, and I dont think it was holding.
The cut block was not holding. Holding onto his ankle as he turned to give chase was holding.
Besides that, bush was past him already and that guy wasnt gonna catch him!:)
Except that Bush came to a complete stop. Kalil wasjust jogging upfield until the cutback and was still in Reggie's way.

A tremendous feat of athleticism, but a pretty clear hold as well.

Keys to the game:

On offense: running Beanie Wells. If he is to win the Heisman he is going to have to earn it here. And it doesn't matter who's back there at QB, if the passing game is predictable SC will make any tall pocket passer look like John Navarre.

On defense: stuff the middle. Our front seven have to get off blocks so we can shrink the running lanes and be ready from the backside. I don't care how many McKnights they have if we can stuff them up the middle Sanchez is going to have a rough night.

My game prediction;

whoever has the most points by the time the final gun sounds... is usually the winner.

So yeah, I'm gonna go with the Bucks on that one.

I'm just wondering... has a team ever won a game making just safeties, so that they had more points than the other team making touchdowns?

Thanks.
