Game Thread Ohio State 28, Troy 10 (Final, Sep. 20)

WR is all of a sudden looking like a position of weakness (along with the other areas of weakness that have been discussed this week) on this team.

Robo is obviously banged up as evidenced by his feeble attempt at what looked like a very catchable ball in the first quarter.

Hartline is not a deep threat.

Where is Ray Small?

I like what I see for the most part, OL is doing a better job and DL is penetrating, however our WR's are making the same mistakes. I dont understand where posey and small are. Hopefully someone can pick ROBO up he is just off his game this year.

First half thoughts...

All those people booing Todd are pathetic... 6 years he has given to the program he does not deserved to be boo'd. I am excited as anyone to see TP play but the boos was bull $hit.

TP.. WOW.. Anyone else have Troy flashbacks.. I sure did... Minus the sack he took before half I am giving him an A. Robo has hurt him twice.

Keep getting the ball to Boom - He reminds me so much of Pittman... Don't get away from it.

I have been watching Brewster a lot.... Kid has it... I think this should stay. Not sold on Cordle at guard or center though... Interesting to see how this plays out on the line.

That TD by Troy... Great job by that young man for sure... Terrible tackling by Freeman specifically. Bad match-up.. Freeman back to WILL please.

D-Line... still not impressed... no penetration at all... Think as fans we have to live with it for the rest of the year..

C - Special Teams
B - Offense
B+ - Defense

39-yard TD reception = possession receiver?

C'mon - let's stop the hating on Brian Hartline. There are many other players who are performing at a much lower level (Freeman, Trapasso, Person, etc.)

You beat me to it, Robo would of laid out for that ball in the 1st quarter last year. To me it looks like the main mistakes are coming from the Seniors this year and the underclassman are showing up. Seniors need to step up.

I heard a commentator before the season say that Ohio State would not win the NC this year because even tho they had a lot of players returning, they had a lot of mediocre players returning with just another year's experience. I don't remember who it was, but maybe he was right. Ohio State's receivers and backup running backs just aren't that impressive.

Also, I think Tress needs to make some coaching changes after the season. Heacock and Bollman have had their shot--time to shake things up. Tress can't conitnue to be the nice guy, like Dr. Lou said the other night. I'd love to see Fred Pagac and Walt Harris come back, but I know that's wishful thinking

Grad21, LJB? What are the positives and negatives?

Positives...Terrelle Pryor is the real deal. The defense has been solid minus one play.

Negatives...Special Teams are blah. Robo does not look like Robo. Where is Ray Small? Besides Pryor, we have not established a running game.

The defense looks like it's starting to get tired, we need a long sustained drive for our first possession on the second half.

I agree, but Troy gets the ball first. BIG possession.
