Ohio Stadium nickname question: is "The Shoe" offensive to anyone?

Thanks for bumping this, had not seen the thread before. And while we are on the topic, I am offended by the use of "the shoe" for two reasons. First, not everybody has shoes, so this is just a way of rubbing the poor folks' noses in our extreme opulence and wealth. Second, referring to it as "the" shoe implies that this is the only shoe, which is a total falsehood. I have several pairs of shoes, not bragging, just a fact.

Some of my best friends don't wear shoes and they aren't offended by this.

I think some folks just wander around (barefoot) looking to be offended.

I believe we call it a "Script bump" around here.

Came across it while searching for the official Horseshoe thread, thought it needed to get bumped for the Snowflake Era. :cheers:
