Ohio High School Playoffs 2016 (Official Thread)

Scoreboard :biggrin2: damn Catholic schools:pissed3:
They won 6 of the 7 divisions this year.

Coldwater didn't play well, but outplayed CCC. Stupid turnovers deep in their own territory, and a missed tackle that allowed the 55 yd TD run with a minute to go killed them.

3 trips in the red zone - 0 pts. Some on the CCC defense, but mostly on stupid penalties.

Congratulations to all the State Champions in 2017

Div I - Cincinnati St. Xavier
Div II - Cincinnati LaSalle
Div III - Akron Archbishop Hoban
Div IV - Columbus Bishop Hartley
Div V - Canton Central Catholic
Div VI - Maria Stein Marion Local
Div VII - Warren John F. Kennedy Catholic

Hmmmm, not to start a you-know-what-storm, but 6 of the 7 champs were Catholic schools. (and as someone from the area can attest, the VAST majority of players on Marion Local are Catholic)

From what I heard, Steubenville was tied and attempted a 40+ yard FG with 1:32 left on a 4th and 1. The kicker popped the ball straight up and a Hartley LB came down with it and returned it to the Steubenville 10 yard line where a few plays later Hartley kicked the game winner.
