Gotta love the idiots over on miamiofohiococktalk.com. They've taken a break from their multiple Ohio State bashing threads to attempt to stick up for this clown. Apparently, homemade pipebombs are a natural, healthy activity for a college sophomore. One even goes so far as to attempt to argue that, because he was in rotc, Beavis was testing ordinance for "his team."

Memo to Fredo: healthy 19 year old college students do not make pipebombs. When I was 19, the only thing I wanted to blow up was a tightly packed bowl. When I was 19, the only explosion I looked forward to was ME--inside some lucky young semi-conscious lady.

Beavis of Ohio was, at best, a seriously dysfunctional and highly immature 19 year old man. At worst, he was a psycho with evil intent.

So the guy was a double dipshit - being a ROTC guy he could have talked to any number of Artillery or EOD detachments in either Indiana, Kentucky OR Ohio and been able to blow shit up the right way.

Sounds like this dumbass was either going to go VaTech on his classmates or he was just plain dumb, as the case may be.....

Let us not forget that, in blowing himself up, young Beavis(OH) committed the ultimate sacrifice by removing his faulty DNA from the gene pool in which we and our progeny swim. In removing the weak, he made all of us just a little bit stronger. This act of sacrifice--no matter how unintentional, unwitting and unintelligent it may have been--should not go unnoticed nor unrewarded. Let's slap a Darwin Award on this man.

A MUCH better write-up. The reason I'm going DA here is because a) he was in ROTC (when I was in NROTC, we only blew things up under supervision), and b) he was endangering minors (hopefully they learned something that day).
