2027 OH WR Jamier Brown is a Buckeye!!!

Their new stadium is sweeeet

We should be talking about Big Nut like we talk about Pickeribgton and Olentangy. Stacked program right now.

I’m sure it’s come a long way from when I was in school there, but it was very much a backwards, backwoods hick school when I was in that school district many years ago.

Hey, back in the day, several newly 'big' schools were nothing more than a stop sign on 315 (Powell). Dublin didn't yet exist, and Pickerington was waaay on the otherside of town. Flight to the suburbs ('burbs) took place, and now, the property taxes are higher than C'bus proper. Mostly due to building schools/infrastructure etc. PS, haven't seen tOSU take a City League kid in many a moon, let alone from my high school, Whetstone. Am looking to relocate, and so do peruse the property tax lists of the places looking for....and kinda boggles the mind. OK, back to football....

I attended Hilliard (when it was 1 high school) and raised my sons in the Olentangy District. It was 2 high schools (OHS and OLHS) when they were born and has 4 now….and they are acquiring land for the 5th as we speak. It’s remarkable how this district has grown over the past 20 years.

Marysville and Big Walnut are next in the Central Ohio region. They have plenty of land, lower taxes at this moment, and the open houses and construction sites are booming. They will each have a 2nd high school within 5 years and probably a 3rd within 10 years.

There's going to be a second Delaware High School in the next 10 years as well.

The entire area north of 270 on the northside of columbus is expanding as a ridiculous rate.

Might suggest that the housing prices in Marion are 'more cost effective' than the upper North side of C'bus. One can burn up an automobile over and over and still be economically 'in the black'. Have seen in California for years. Of course the human cost of long distance commuting is higher, and do not believe C'bus has a 'commuter train' that services the greater C'bus area. As mentioned, looking to relocate back to C'bus, and am appalled at the prices of housing. We were in on a 'build-out' house in Dublin area, but bowed out when the price hit about $400,000 per bedroom. Would rather not be 'house rich-cash poor' in this era. Daughter is 31, and we're in no danger of needing space for teen agers/babies....It'll work out, will be back in C'bus in March-April, checkbook in hand. Gotta add in cost of season pass for men's and women's basketball to the cost of housing ..
