Do need to consider competition is pretty weak, but he does appear to move well based off of these clips. He does play against Bo Jackson and VASJ last game of season, would be a great matchup.

Wow, ok. The kid is a serious threat in the passing game and I have seen enough to say he won't just be a blocker. Him and Roberts could be a really good pairing for years to come. This kid is definitely overlooked (including myself when he committed), absolute stud.

When the Lancers were in need of a big play, they looked no further than Ohio State tight end commit Brody Lennon. His first touchdown of the game opened up the scoring as he hauled in a 15-yard pass closing out the first quarter.



Closing out the first half went just as planned for the Lancers. Lennon responded with a 22-yard touchdown catch in the corner of the end zone to tie the game heading into halftime.



“Brody is Brody, he’s tremendous, Ohio State is getting a really good football player,” Gilmour coach Tom Kaufman said.



In between the two scores from Lennon was a little bit of everything. Stellar special teams plays, a lot of running and chunk plays that felt like no lead was ever safe.

We have a hidden gem here, kid is way more talented than I think any of us knew when he got the offer. I thought he would be the obligatory 2nd TE that is a blocker but no, he is an athlete.

Perfect TE. Plays Defense also so he knows his opponents tactics and is fast enough to get deep and run away after the catch. If he becomes a good blocker watch out

To answer your question, the camps and offseason workouts are important. Film is more important to me, but it doesn't show you everything you need to evaluate a prospect. Just one example would be competition level, you need to show out against the best players in-person if you come from a school with bad competition. I played in a rural area with bad competition, I had to show up to camps/circuits to prove I was legit.

In this case, Lennon did that at camp and got his offer. Not really sure where he should be ranked, but when a school like OSU offers a kid at camp, then you take another look at their ranking.
