2026 OH RB Favour Akih (Verbal Offer)

If it’s true that he didn’t start playing football until the 9th grade, just think about how much more room there is to grow
I also think about durability as RBs take so much punishment. Hopefully a benefit of not starting football until 9th grade means his body is a little less beat up than his RB peers who have been playing since peewee.

Per Canesinsight:
@DMoney in the March 28, 2025 Bank reveals the staff has Ohlinger higher on their board than Favour Akih.

Miami absolutely loved RB Henry Ohlinger (Columbus, OH) on his visit. He looked every bit of 6'1, 210 with room to grow and the ability to play multiple positions. There have been reports about another Ohio back in Favour Akih (Delaware, OH), but Ohlinger is on top of the pecking order. Derrek Cooper (Chaminade) remains an immense priority and a +1 pla

It’s interesting now that Ohlinger all of the sudden is now higher on the pecking order over Akih. Who they felt very confident about just several days ago. I guess leaving Miami and going straight to OSU for another visit shows what he thinks of them

Awesome to see a Hayes player get attention. My mom grew up in a house right next to the football field. There may have been a hole in the chain link fence. My aunts and uncles may have hidden Easter eggs around the field and stands for years for us kids. So do me a Favour, and make the timing perfect.
Favour has a huge ceiling imo and is only going to climb up the rankings after his senior year. He would be an awesome addition to this class and then we look OOS for one more RB to finish out the RB class (fingers crossed on Hiter, but plenty of targets out there). I see this one being in the books sooner rather than later though.

For Easter or at all times of the year?

I wish it was all times of the year. But we did find plenty of change under the bleachers from when folks sat down. I still have some of the coins we flattened on the train tracks behind the house/stadium. Good ol' Delaware.

Back to recruiting, who was the LB that was being recruited from Hayes a few years ago? Wonder where he ended up.
