Few passers put together the type of offseason the Ohio State commitment did, making the jump to five-star status, and the Rivals Camp Series stop in Indianapolis was a major part of St. Clair's rise.

The Ohio native has the dream frame and a live arm attached to it, allowing him to push the ball wherever he wants on the field. St. Clair has impressed in the pocket as well as on the move, showcasing strong fluidity and timing along with one of the prettiest spirals in the class along the way.

Per Tom Orr(after I mentioned how advanced TSC looks right now):

I was talking to someone about him today. They said that not only is he a complete weight room junkie, everything he eats is planned out for him by a nutritionist. There is a reason that you really don't ever see this kind of physical transformation with most other prospects.

The OSU staff is VERY, VERY high on him. One of them used the word "prototype" while describing him today.

The Ohio State quarterback has moved up to five-star status and he has all the physical tools and mental makeup to be a superstar in Columbus and beyond. He’ll undoubtedly be surrounded by elite playmakers in the Buckeyes’ offense as well.
This will be St. Clair’s biggest and highest-profile event to date and we want to see how he handles the national stage against nearly every elite quarterback in his class.
Is he truly one of the top three? Or, even higher than he’s ranked now?

ALPHA DOG: TAVIEN ST. CLAIR (OHIO STATE COMMIT)

Top247: No. 2 QB, No. 2 overall
With LSU commit and top-ranked quarterback Bryce Underwood at home, Tavien St. Clair had an opportunity to cement himself as the event's alpha on the first night. We felt like he did just that. St. Clair, who has an NFL-ready frame, made things look easy with a smooth, repeatable stroke. He was accurate to all three levels of the field and threw with precision on the move.

2. Tavien St. Clair – Ohio State

Tavien St. Clair looked like the most accurate quarterback on hand throughout Day One at the Elite 11 Finals. The Buckeye pledge lived up to our expectations in this on-air environment, impressing with his smooth, replicable throwing motion. St. Clair dotted his throws for much of the evening. We noticed that receivers did not have to break stride, with many of the throws being right on their face. At 6-foot-4, 225 pounds, St. Clair is also one of the more physically imposing signal callers on hand. In a workout that can highlight deficiencies in a quarterback’s game as a passer, there wasn’t much to critique with the Ohio native.

“Tavien St. Clair has easily been one of the best to come through my station so far. Pinpoint accuracy from the Ohio State pledge. USC commit Julian Lewis has had some hits and misses. UNC commit Bryce Baker continues to show a strong arm. Oregon commit Akili Smith has a longer motion that leads to some erratic throws, but has had some solid passes when everything is aligned.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

Per Greg Biggins:
We had St. Clair as our Alpha Dog following the initial workout at the Elite 11 tonight. I thought St. Clair and Keelon Russell were the top 2 by a decent margin over the field. Tavien has an NFL body right now with one of the coaches saying, 'this kid looks like a Greek god.' He has a smooth easy delivery, a tight release, plenty of arm strength, moves well in and out of the pocket and I love the way he carries himself. He's a natural leader and checked off every box for me tonight.

To that point, the post below explains a lot of why TSC is ridiculously built as a QB heading into his senior year of HS...weight room warrior with the QB skills, drive and technique to use it. I fully expect TSC to compete for QB1 immediately despite the talent we are going to have in the QB room, going to be a battle to see where you need your popcorn.
