2025 OH QB Ryan Montgomery (Georgia Signee)

11W Forums

Ryan Montgomery said the door is not closed on him ending up in the Ohio State 2025 class. Most insiders have said it’s unlikely to happen, but he has left the door open. They have noted that Montgomery is the only other QB that Ohio State would take in this class to make it a two man class.

Really hoped he could end up in this class just to match him with his brother and get another quality Ohio kid in. Also, who knows who is going to develop at the right speed at this level and who is going to be able to stay healthy

Montgomery is still busy seeing a lot of schools and figuring out which one is best but if South Carolina lands the four-star quarterback from Findlay, Ohio, it’s because he’s clearly the No. 1 option for the Gamecocks.
Many other programs are coming after Montgomery and rightfully so but the feeling is that South Carolina has made it clear he’s their top guy and that could be really meaningful down the stretch.

The four-star quarterback from Findlay, Ohio was at Georgia over the weekend and had an “awesome” time watching practice and meetings as the coaching staff told him they want him back for an official visit in June.
That’s being considered but the family will regroup after another round of visits to Florida and South Carolina, considered his two front-runners right now. The feeling is that the Gators and Gamecocks have made him priority No. 1 and Georgia is definitely interested but also balancing the possible flip of five-star QB
Julian Lewis
from USC.

Just reread Brody's post up above, saying maybe two, and Ryan would be only second if so. Then along came Sayin. With the stable of QBs already aboard, sense it's not a-gonna happen. Hope all loyal Ohioans will watch his career with interest wherever he lands. Know I will. And that there will remain open a thread for him. One never knows what the future holds. Certainly rosters these days are extremely fluid. Go Bucks!

Now a Dawg. On a semi-related note, I can’t remember the last time we pulled a young man out of Ohio. Very rare, even for a passionate recruiter like Kirby

Hasn’t been a lot of news on him since we took commitment from fellow Ohioan and class as Tavien St. Clair, who coaches viewed as the better prospect. For your knowledge to share, his brother will very likely be a starter on our OL this year. And from the same HS as Big Ben Roethlisberger

Random thought: but I don’t think he stays there for his entire collegiate career

But still, congratulations on committing to a powerhouse program. He’s talented, but needs just a little more seasoning than TSC.

I have the same sentiment, very good prospect but TSC being in the same class and from Ohio made it impossible to fit Montgomery in imo. Or Montgomery was too talented to want to be part of a 2-QB class, which I also would understand.

Could end up a great talent at the next level without a doubt. So @BigWoof31 you got a good one that seems to fit well in your offense and family seems to be a great one, which can go a long way. Rooting for him in any event to do well in any game we don't face him.
