Eddie George targets son of Ohio State HC Ryan Day to be Bowling Green's next great quarterback
Ohio State head coach Ryan Day has been focused on building a powerhouse program with the Buckeyes since taking over for Urban Meyer, but his own lineage is becoming a bigger priority in his life. His son, RJ Day, is a 3-star quarterback at St. Francis De Sales in Columbus, Ohio.
Despite the obvious connection with the Buckeyes, it's possible, if not likely, he looks for a clearer pathway to playing time elsewhere. New Bowling Green head coach and Ohio State legend Eddie George is hoping it's with his Falcons.
Day shared that George offered him a scholarship to Bowling Green on his Twitter. Bowling Green joined Akron, Boston College, Toledo, Kent State, Marshall, Miami (Ohio), and Eastern Michigan with an offer on the table.
"Coach George is first class,” said RJ Day.
The St. Francis De Sales High School's all-time passing leader recently visited Cincinnati, Northwestern, Iowa State, Purdue, and UCLA. He'll continue on camp visits throughout the summer.
The Buckeyes have yet to offer Ryan Day's son, but the 2027 prospect still has two more seasons to prove his value for his eventual landing spot.
