VERBAL COMMIT
10/25/2023
OHIO STATE
6'3" | 215 LBS | ILB | 2025
HOBAN
AKRON, OH
5.6

The Ohio State linebacker commit has been in the class since October. There is virtually no chance of him changing that and he’s focused on helping to add prospects to the Buckeyes.
He has been in contact with four-star running back
Marquise Davis
, who was also at the camp. His high school is also building a nice pipeline of future Buckeyes and he wants them all to join him.

I have a buddy who's little cousin played for the Trinity Episcopal team who traveled up from VA. I'll just saw there was a lot of trash talk and bravado prior to the game starting. And how there was so much more speed in VA than OH :roll2:
Let's just saw they went back to VA with bruised egos and bodies. He said #33(Lee) and #11(Hill) were on another level compared to other HSers they've faced.

Don't let @NJ-Buckeye know this;-)

Question.. does any HS LB learn pass coverage in HS or is that almost solely college?
I've never seen Eli in pass coverage but in his Hoban defense probably not needed with his DBs
Depends where they play. When I lived in TX, there were so many offenses that ran spread offenses and had high octane passing schemes that LBs had to know how to cover. Same in CA and FL from what I’ve seen as well. OH still has a lot of run oriented offenses running the state. Just like most OH OL excel at Run blocking primarily and learn pass blocking more in college

Eli Lee turns in strong regular season

Ohio State 2024 linebacker commit Eli Lee just wrapped up a strong regular season for his senior year.

The Archbishop Hoban standout recorded 119 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, four pass breakups, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one interception while leading his team to an 8-2 record. Lee hopes to enjoy a successful postseason as well, as Hoban faces Firestone Friday in the team’s first playoff game.
