TBH, I've really reduced my interest / following recruiting since NIL. Given that we're at page 2 in this thread and it's June, was is offer an OFFER or an offer?

All valid points. And he actually had an OFFER. But I doubt OSU was going to try and match IU if they believe they have a real chance with Fahkatou and Currie. And Imo Perez was behind Brayden Parks from IL, who was a legit college ready 3tech size. Where Perez will need a RS shirt year to gain and keep on size.
No shade, Perez would’ve been a very good pickup, and he is that for IU. But Fakatou and Currie would an ELITE DL class, and could have 2guys that are game changing type IDL(but Fakatou can be moved all over the DL). IMO, Perez was a poor man’s Fakatou(and that’s not an insult there's just levels to athleticism for guys that big playing DL)

Too soon old, too late smart
Would think that tOSU recruiter would play up the training/teaching that LJsr would do, but also point out the depth in front of them. That depth is something that the 'lesser lights' would use against the Buckeyes. Heck, if one can get more NIL $, and more PT, then sounds like a win-win for the recruit. The pro scouts seem to find talent anywhere it resides, so that is another consideration.
