Disappointing but he’s been on campus a ton. Not much he probably doesn’t know so I’m not convinced we’re out of it

Kind of figured and I will never fault a kid for their decision, especially in the new world of NIL. We have no idea what they are dealing with off the field. And I do not know what I would have done if someone offered me high six to seven-figures at 17 years old.I think money talks louder than any fan, or even current state of a program. That's just the facts, OSU has known for a while that this would be a BIG battle over heart vs wallet. OSU is only going to offer so much for a HS player. They've dealt with over several cycles and still have managed to land top CB talent. OSU will be fine with or without Hill. If USC or Oregon want to offer an insane amount to land Hill, then have at it, there's still plenty of HS talent that wants to play for BIA and be coached by one of the best in CFB.
Yeah, I think fans need to lighten up and put themselves in these teenager's shoes for a second. A Program offering you more money than you've ever seen in your life, or a deal that is very good, but not as much to attend the school that you've always rooted for. If you take off the Scarlet colored glasses, that in itself is a VERY difficult decision to make. If say, Oregon or USC is offering $2mil over 3yrs but OSU is offering $800k for 3yrs, its no so cut and dry to just say that an OH kid should just go to OSU. Best of luck to Elbert at OSU or anywhere else, but when playing a game as violent as football, nothing is guaranteed like anything in life.Kind of figured and I will never fault a kid for their decision, especially in the new world of NIL. Hopefully he signs with the Bucks, but more importantly hopefully he has a solid college career and achieves his goals.
Agreed. There are so many players who bust or get derailed by injury. The risk is way too high to turn down an extra million or two.Yeah, I think fans need to lighten up and put themselves in these teenager's shoes for a second.
