Makes sense, this kid was greatly looking forward to an offer. A matter of when not if he’s a Buckeye. Reminds me of Darron Lee and could easily see him getting in the 230 range while still keeping his speed
It also helps that he’s close friends with Jaylen Johnson(2021 commit)

Hicks is 215 entering his JUNIOR year in HS. He could easily get to OSU in the 230s
You should go by their weights they played in college, not HS weight...

I was pointing out that all four players were/are basically the same size in HS.

So, yeah...

Definitely see Hicks in that mold, great athlete and a mile-high ceiling. And typically academics coming out of Alter are top-notch.

Watched his films and you can see what there is to love on Hicks as an OLB (about 100% guarantee Hicks ends up on defense even though he is listed as an ATH). Super rangy, vicious hitter, and incredible closing speed from the edge (see him look like a blur at the 5:43 mark chasing down the QB). Frame is ideal for a LB at his age and he will pack some good weight. Need to see how he plays in traffic and takes on blockers though, he was playing boundary corner or a safety playing up in most of the film. Looks like he can excel in pass coverage.

In any event, a no-brainer offer here, will love to another 937 kid head to Columbus.
