Official "Going to the Game" Thread

Is this normal? Out of 80,000 seats, they're giving out less than half to the two schools COMBINED? I thought that it was bad enough when I heard a rumor that most bowl games were 1/3 to each school. But the remaining 50,000 seats are going to be sold locally? Is that something they decided after learning who the teams are, or is that something they decided a while back?

Two words: Corporate Sponsors.

Alright Buckeyes, lets go! 41,000 tickets are up for grabs! I know as an E-4 in the military if I can afford a ticket, I know some of you can! All over the news in New Orleans they are calling for 70-30 LSU in the dome. LETS TRAVEL BUCKEYE NATION!!!:oh:

Although I cannot afford to head down this year, I can assure you that the Buckeye faithful will travel. When have you ever seen a bowl game where OSU was grossly outnumbered?

Man, this game is really starting to line up for us. On paper, everything is going in LSU's favor, but the opposite usually seems to happen in these kinds of games.

I'm gonna do my best dude. I loved going out to Phoenix the past few years, but now two years in a row of BCS Title ticket prices might be too much :)

Who's making the trip?

Just curious to know who's planning on making the trip with no ticket. I'm planning on making the trip down from here... but i'll end up just tailgating in the parking lot and eating till I puke. The atmospehere should be unbeatable and Tiger fans are usually pretty generous in our tailgating mood.

<--- going to NOLA without a ticket, and after looking at the prices online ($1350 for one ticket in the nose bleed sections to $210,000 for a suite....... can't afford it right now :( ), We will more than likely be watching from some Bourbon Street bar or maybe we will get adopted by some tailgaters. Wherever our small group watches it, I'm sure it will be a good time.
