"Official" BP gambling thread.

Lived in AZ over a decade and Vegas trips 4 or 5 times per year. Dont do a lot of casino gambling, just the sportsbooks. The casinos are brutal. Picking games at least gives you choices. Letting a machine or game randomly pay out is crazy.

I might play 10-12 games per week during football/basketball/hockey overlap but during the spring and summer I build up the funds for fun

It's been awhile since I've been to Vegas. Having grown up in Reno, I came away from it somewhat immune. When I would go with a group of guys in the early 00's, my firm rule was blackjack and craps only with a firm 200 a day loss limit. I tended to spend more eating and drinking than gambling.

Feeling a couple plays tonight:

NFL Patriots - 6.5. I hate that they are playing well but the Patriots aren't turning the ball over and they are causing them. Pats 4-1 both SU and ATS last 5 games. Let's see how much officiating interferes again on national tv.

GSW -5.5 1st Half vs the Cavs. Injuries are ridiculous for the Cavs. Still out their entire front line. They do have at least one surprising quarter per night though to stay in vs better teams. Just don't think it will be out the gate.

Aside from my F1 bets and a small bet on Ohio State to cover, I did some serious swing for the fences shit.

Spread parlay with Reno, WVU and Rutgers.
Moneyline bet on Rutgers
Moneyline parlay with Ohio State, Maryland and Rutgers

Casinos want suckers, not actual decent gamblers that process basic probability.

Re: single game wagers.

2-0 on MACtion this week with EMU +6 and Toledo covering -75.

Took the Pats tonight -6.5 and if Corderelle Patterson is out I might go in on the U47.5

Hot start to the week.

Pats hit both -6.5 and the under.
Took LOU at -20 and sprinkled a little on the under. No biggie, didn't wash my spread wager. 3-1.

Might only bet 1 or 2 Sunday games this week, maybe not even at all seeing as how Sunday's seem to be where I'm breaking even.

@ORD_Buckeye, what am I missing in this Wolfpack game vs Air Force tonight? It's a pick and I don't see why that's not an easy cover for Nevada. Air Force plays better Defense but I don't think their Offense can keep up. What's your take?

Mainly, it's just that Reno's been pretty good to me this year. Moneyline hits against Cal and Boise, and covered the spread against Fresno as part of a three-team parlay that hit. I think if Carson Strong is skrong, they can put up enough points on AFA to cover.

It's only 1 pt right now which is why I'm questioning things. I would have thought 6 or 7 anyway
